1999

L.I.S (North Western) Ltd was established - With a combined experience of well over 80 years in the industry we quickly became one of the leaders in our field.

2004

Awarded one of the first IPPC permits - Now known as the Environmental Permit - Licence No EP3835PU.

2006

Lees Industrial Services was formed - After extensive research and development we created a wholly British Hardfoam into a very competitive market.

2007

BritFoam™ Launched - It is used to decommission tanks, voids and pipelines.

2010

Total Fuel Solutions - We are proud to be able to offer customers, old, new and potential, a full range of services and fuel maintenance packages.

Also in 2010 we combined all of our Companies we rebranded and launched the L.I.S Group


Our main objective still is to provide a professional service of the highest standard and to continuously improve our services to meet the ongoing needs of our customers extending to them the benefits of our knowledge, training and technical expertise.

We are a forward thinking Company and wholly recognise the importance of continual investment in new equipment, combined with our ongoing training programmes, which not only demonstrates our commitment to our Customers but also Our Employees.

As part of our fleet we have 3 Stainless Steel Multi Pot Tankers. Which include two four pot compartments, 3 x 9,000 litres capacity for product and a 3,000 litre capacity for water, which has a 30,000 litre capacity overall, the third tanker has three compartments, 2 x 9,000 litre's and 3,000 litre's capacity for water. They were all designed by our Managing Director Kevin Lees and built especially for L.I.S.

These vehicles are purpose built for multi grade fuel transfers and grade changes, they are also ideal for forecourt closures as the product can be uplifted for transfer, tank bottoms uplifted for disposal and tanks water sealed using just the one vehicle.

Benefits for customers are:-

Health & Safety is of the utmost priority; therefore our operatives all hold a current ADR Licence, UKPIA, are fully trained in Confined Space entry, use of breathing apparatus and have medical certificates for Lead at Work Regulations. 

All wastes removed from site would be in strict accordance with the "Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (Classification, Packaging and Labeling Regulations 1996)". Subsequent disposal of wastes would be via our licensed facilities,  Environmental Permit EP3835PU, issued by the Environment Agency all in accordance with the "Environmental Protection Act 1990" or where applicable the "Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005".
We would carry out all liaison with the Environment Agency and provide all relevant documentation if required.

We will plan, conduct and monitor our operations using the Best Practicable Means to protect the environment from impairment.

The concepts of Best Practicable Environment Options and the Duty of Care, will be implemented to establish high standards of operation in all the Company's activities, for which adherence will be mandatory. These will comply with or exceed regulatory controls or codes of practice where they are available.

We will continue to develop and improve our operational standards as a result of our own efforts and using appropriate world wide technological developments.

Method Statements and Risk Assessment will be provided on the receipt of an official works order and if you require those to be site specific, you can just request it when our surveyor attends your site to assess the works for quotation.
